Wondering about the difference between speech and language?
Speech: Is referred to as articulation, or the production of speech sounds. An articulation disorder is when one’s speech is affected by the lack of muscle coordination and movements that are important when producing speech sounds.
Language: Can be broken down into receptive and expressive language. Receptive language is that language someone understands, while expressive language is the ability to use language.
